Jennie Lee Riddle is a passionate, Jesus-loving songwriter, conference speaker, worshipper and artist manager. She is the founder of the development label, known as People & Songs and popular songwriting camp, The Emerging Sound, owner of New Nation Music Publishing and A Whole World Of Good retailer, and also co-owner of newly formed Euphonic City record company.
Jennie is best known for authoring Phillips, Craig and Dean’s #1 hit single “Revelation Song”. It was written in 1998, and first recorded in 2003. Kari Jobe, at a Christ For the Nations live recording, under the direction of Klaus Kuehn and Walker Beach, brought the song to life and the Church has raised it since. Jennie states, “The Holy Spirit has used that song all across the world to carry worship of the saints to Jesus. That is a beautifully incomprehensibly fearsome, and life-altering, mantle.”
The release of Revelation Song is also how the Lord uncovered Jennie’s songwriting vocation and released her into a career in music that she says was “very unexpected.”
Jennie has since been honored as an eight-time Dove award nominee, three-time Dove award winner, top 10 CCLI songwriter, multiple BMI award winner for top 25 radio, and two-time gold-certified songwriter. Jennie has co-authored several title cuts and singles such as “When The Stars Burn Down” by Philips, Craig and Dean; “Psalm 46 (Lord of Hosts)” by Shane & Shane; “Hope of the Broken World”, “More and More of You” and “I Got Saved” recorded by Selah; “Story I Tell” by Micah Tyler; “Cleansed” and “Divine Exchange” by Charity Gayle; “Mystery of Faith” by Glen Packiam; “One True God” by NewSong; “It Is Finished” and “This Changes Everything” by Matt Papa; “The One That Really Matters” by Dustin Smith and also recorded by Michael W. Smith feat. Kari Jobe; “I Stand Before Almighty God Alone” recorded with Worship Mob and also Travis Ryan; “You Promised” by Corey Voss; “Mercy of Jesus” recorded by Kaden Slay; “Worth the Wait” by Bryan McCleery; and much more.
A diverse array of worshippers and disciple-makers have recorded Jennie’s songs over the years, including Newsboys, Phil Wickham, Kim Walker, Chris Tomlin, Gateway Worship, Kaleb + Kelsey, Rivers and Robots, Worship Together, Maranatha, Travis Cotrell, Superchick, Rebecca St. James, Fike, JJ Heller, Jared Anderson, The Booth Brothers, Guy Penrod, Sandi Patty, Julissa, Meredith Andrews, Travis Ryan, Michael English, Clay Crosse, Misty Edwards, Shiela Walsh, Crystal Yates, Lindell Cooley, Phil King and many others.
Her songs are sung by churches both large and small in most every denomination and been featured by some of the largest attended Christian tours including Passion and Winter Jam.
Jennie has served artists in A&R, Executive Producer, Producer and Manager roles for over a decade and has released records such as “The Emerging Sound” Volumes 1-5 featuring People & Songs artists; “Divine Exchange” and “Lord You Are My Song” by Charity Gayle; “The Story I Tell” by Micah Tyler; “Walk Me Home” by Marcy Each; “Mercy of Jesus” by Kaden Slay; “The Slays”; “City of God Chapters 1 & 2” by Melanie Tierce, “Never Wanna Go Back” by May Angeles; “Turn Up The Lights” and “Walls Fall Down” by People & Songs; along with several more solo artist and compilation albums, and many singles.
Teaching, training, developing, and launching others is what captures her attention. She states, “The Lord has given me the grace to write songs that may impact my sphere of influence. However, He has given me wider sight that thrills my heart. If I could train other Kingdom pens to do the same, the multiplication effect, discipleship and spread of The Gospel could be exponential in these last days.” This focus and core value has been the motivating impetus for her ministry and entrepreneurial endeavors.
Jennie’s natural bent towards mentoring leaders, fostering Kingdom culture, and growing creative communities lead to her to holding leadership roles in GMA’s Experience Immerse, The Linger Conference, Experience Conference, several boards, and event planning for Church workshops. She has invested herself in classrooms of all sizes in hopes of inspiring the spread of the Gospel through music. She has traveled throughout churches in the United States, Europe, and Asia, often bringing along fellow writers, artists, speakers, and those she mentors.
Jennie gave her life to Jesus in 1988 and that year also married her best friend, Darrin. For over 3 decades, together, they have served the Lord by raising their four children and joyfully giving themselves to a lifetime of mentoring, extreme hospitality, creative marketplace ministry, and purposeful community building.
